For the teacher
Everyone opens the same scene. You play the host family member or teacher. Students choose different situations and think before speaking. Invite responses, then follow up naturally. There is no fixed speaking order and no need for pairs.
Students can reveal phrase help if useful. After the first response, ask them to click “What happens next?” Each situation has a different follow-up. You can speak that line or improvise. With a larger group, ask others for alternative replies.
For a short activity, use one or two scenes. There is no need to finish all six. Clicks are independent; this is not a shared live room. Audio is spoken by you and the students through Teams.
Politeness depends on the situation. A plain “I’m not feeling well” is natural; idioms are optional. “It’s not really my thing” can suit an activity, but a tactful explanation such as “I’m not used to this flavour yet” may be more considerate about someone’s cooking.
